Meet the equipment

The aircraft that
does the climbing.

We deploy the Apellix commercial cleaning drone — a heavy-lift Quad Rotor (X8) airframe with an on-board precision nozzle and a ground-tethered solution feed. High-pressure, fully hands-off, and engineered so the aircraft never makes physical contact with your structure.

One platform, engineered for one job.

Most drones are cameras with propellers. The Apellix is a flying pressure-washing system — built around the physics of spraying fluid at height. Pushing water at pressure produces recoil, and recoil pushes an ordinary aircraft off target. The X8 configuration uses eight motors on four arms to hold a rock-steady position against that force, keeping the spray exactly where the pilot puts it.

Just as important is what stays on the ground: the pump, the tanks and the solution supply. A tethered feed line runs from the ground rig up to the aircraft, so the drone never carries heavy fluid — it stays light, precise and in the air for the whole pass. The result is a cleaning tool that reaches any elevation a building has, with nobody leaving the ground and nothing touching your facade except calibrated fluid. That is the whole idea in one sentence: instead of sending people up, we send the aircraft — it does the climbing, and the crew never leaves the ground.

What's on board.

Four systems working together on every job — each one replacing a piece of traditional access equipment.

Heavy-lift X8 airframe

Eight-motor redundancy means the aircraft holds position even against spray recoil and Florida gusts — and keeps flying safely if a single motor falters. This is what replaces the scaffold: a stable working platform at any elevation.

Precision spray nozzle

Calibrated on the ground for each surface before the flight — pressure, fan pattern and flow matched to stucco, glass, tile or metal. The nozzle does targeted work; it never blasts indiscriminately.

Tethered solution feed

A continuous line from the ground rig supplies cleaning solution or deionized water without the aircraft carrying tank weight. Unlimited supply, consistent pressure, and every chemical stays managed at ground level.

Certified flight crew

Every flight is flown by an FAA Part 107 certified commercial pilot with airspace authorization handled before arrival — including Orlando's controlled airspace. A grounded crew member manages the feed line and rinse throughout.

How a cleaning flight actually works.

From the truck parking to the final photo, a typical service visit runs in five stages — no staging days, no equipment left on site.

Step 1
01

Ground setup

The rig stages in a footprint about the size of two parking spaces. Solution is mixed to the surface being cleaned; the nozzle is calibrated and test-fired on the ground.

Step 2
02

Airspace & checks

Airspace authorization is confirmed, weather minimums verified, and the pre-flight inspection completed — the same discipline as any commercial aviation operation.

Step 3
03

Application pass

The drone works the structure elevation by elevation, applying solution in controlled overlapping passes. The pilot holds standoff distance; the surface is never touched.

Step 4
04

Dwell & rinse

Cleaning solution is given time to kill growth at the root, then the same flight path is flown again with a rinse — deionized water on glass and solar for a spot-free finish.

Step 5
05

Documentation

Before-and-after imagery is captured at drone altitude for every elevation and delivered with the invoice — proof for owners, boards and insurance renewals.

Chemistry matched to the surface.

What comes out of the nozzle matters as much as how it gets there. We run two cleaning chemistries and one rinse standard, chosen per surface — never one harsh mix for everything.

Organic growth — algae, mold, mildew, the Gloeocapsa streaking on Florida roofs — is killed at the root with Citra-Shield, an EPA-compliant biodegradable solution, blended with professional-grade sodium hypochlorite (bleach) soft wash where the surface calls for it. Everything is applied at low, surface-safe pressure with landscaping and runoff protected. Glass and solar panels get pure deionized water only: it dries spot-free with no residue, no detergent film, and no risk to anti-reflective coatings or photovoltaic cells.

Why a drone beats the scaffold.

The numbers property managers actually care about — access, risk and time.

Reaches the unreachable

Heights and geometries traditional crews can't safely access — domes, atriums, tank tops, sign faces — are ordinary flight paths. If it has an exterior surface, the aircraft can work it.

No staging time

Scaffolding takes days to build and strike; a lift needs staging space and often permits. The drone is producing cleaned surface within minutes of the truck parking.

Documented results

Every project ships with drone-altitude before-and-after imagery — the kind of maintenance record insurers, boards and buyers actually accept as proof.
